All Master’s programs being offered in UNIL, except the following

  • Master from the School of Medicine
  • Master of Law from the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich
  • Master of Education
  • Master of criminal Law, magistracy specialism
  • Master of Science in Health sciences
  • Master of Science in Sports Didactics and Physical Education
  • All MASs (Ph.D.)

Note: For the Masters in Law, only two scholarships – “international and comparative law” and “legal theory” are open to applications for Masters’s scholarships.

Scholarship value/duration:

The scholarship is approved for the minimum statutory period of the program chosen by the student. It amounts to CHF 1,600 / month from 15 September to 15 July (or ten months a year) for the whole duration of the masters, except for cases of definitive failure after the first year.

Students offered a UNIL Fully Funded Scholarship will be exempt from the fixed registration fees for the courses, except the CHF 80 fees to be paid each semester.

UNIL Fully Funded Scholarship Foreign Students for 2022 in Switzerland – Eligibility:

  • Must have obtained a foreign university degree equal to a bachelor’s at UNIL before the beginning of the program.
  • Must have distinguished yourself during your studies, primarily through particularly excellent academic results.
  • To have a minimum language level of at least B2 in French or English, according to the language in which your chosen program is taught.
  • Must Not have been registered in UNIL in the past.
  • To have paid the CHF 200 administration fee.

Application instructions:

You must not submit for admission to the master’s degree through the UNIL UNIL’s Admissions Department (SII). Candidates must send their application with necessary documents by post at the university’s address.

The deadline for applications is the 1st of November to begin a master’s degree during the following educational year, in the autumn semester or the spring semester, only if the program allows. Meanwhile, the postmark will attest to the date sent.
