Application instructions
A Canadian institution must suggest candidates with a quota for the program in which they want to enroll. The Vanier CGS program 2021 does not directly accept applications.
One of two ways is used to start an application. Either the candidate notifies the graduate studies faculty of the chosen school to apply to the Vanier CGS program, or the institution starts the nomination procedure by contacting the preferred applicant.
The student arranges the application and uses the Research Net application system to send it to the nominating institution by their internal deadline. By November 2, 2021, the nominated institution must submit suggested candidates to the Vanier-Banting Secretariat (the Secretariat).
